CHINA GEAR MANUFACTURERS ASSOCIATION PROFILE
中国齿轮专业协会（CGMA）是经政府批准于1989年11月成立的全国性齿轮行业组织。它是跨行业、跨地区、跨所有制的齿轮行业的商会性协会。它协助政府搞好行业管理、作为政府的助手，发挥其"桥梁"和"纽带"作用，为振兴齿轮工业服务、为保障经营者的合法利益服务
Approved by government and founded in Nov. of 1989,
China Gear Manufacturers Association (CGMA for a
short) is a nationwide organization in gear
industry. It is the association in the nature of the
chamber of commerce, across trade, across region and
over system of ownership. The task of the
association is to assist government to manage
administration affairs as the assistant of
government, and to play the "bridge" and "link"
functions to serve the development of gear industry
and safeguard the legal benefit of operating
personnel.
1、 开展行业调查，发布行业信息:
Develop industrial investigation and release
industrial information.
受政府部门委托起草行业发展规划，协助政府部门制定有关的行业政策和法律，并配合落实。
Receive entrust from government to draft industrial
development plan, give Assistance to governmental
department to formulate related trade policies and
laws, and then coordinate government to make it
workable.
2、根据行业的特点，制定本行业的《行规行约》，
Based on the industrial characteristic to formulate
"guild regulations and conventions" in trade.
建立行业自律性机制，规范行业自我管理行为，促进企业平等竞争，提高行业整体素质，维护行业整体利益。
The association shall establish trade
self-regulating system, standardize trade
self-management actions, promote enterprises' equal
competition, raise trade integrated educational
level and defend trade integrated benefit.
3、 政府委托对本行业新办企业申报进行前期咨询调研，
Receive entrust from government to consul and
investigate the declare reports of new established
enterprises in industry in the earlier stage.
由行业协会签署论证意见，作为有关部门审批和登记注册的重要依据。
Expound and prove suggestions issued by the
industrial association shall be taken as the
important base to related department for examination
and approval, as well as for its registration and
cooperation.
4、参与制订、修订本各类标准的工作，
Participate in the work of formulating and revising
different kinds of standards.
包括技术标准、经济标准、管理标准。组织推进标准的贯彻实施。开展行检、行评工作。承担本行业生产许可证发放的有关工作。对不队伍质量标准和其它标准的产品和企业，配合政府部门进行督促整改，以至建议政府有关部门采取有关措施。
Standards mentioned are including technical
standards, economic standards and managerial
standards. The association shall organize related
units to promote the implement of standards, and
launch the work of industrial inspection and
evaluation, undertake related works for license
grant in industry. And shall coordinate governmental
department to supervise and urge as well as rectify
and modify to the products and enterprises, which
are not in accordance with the quality standards and
other standards stipulated in industry, up to make
suggestions to the related department of government
to take further measure.
5、进行行业内部价格协调。
Carry on price coordination internally of the
industry.
对行业内的价格争议，组织同行议价。对行业内协定的商品价格进行指导、监督、协调、防止行业价格垄断，保护行业平等竞争，维护企业合法利益。
The association shall organize price negotiating in
trade while having price argument, and shall guide,
supervise, coordinate to the negotiated commodity
prices in trade to protect from industrial price
monopoly, and protect industrial equal competition,
safeguard enterprises' legal benefit.
6、按照本行业实际要求，加强行业统计工作。
According to the actual demand in industry to
strengthen industrial statistic work.
布置、收集、整理、分析全行业统计资料，为政论制定产业政策提供依据，为企业经营决策服务。
The association shall assign, collect, arrange and
analyze whole statistic information in industry to
provide basis to government for formulating
industrial policy and to serve strategic decision
making for enterprises' operation.
7、受政府或有关公司委托对行业内重大的投资、改造、开发项目的先进性、经济性、可行性进行前期论证，并参与项目现任监督。组织国内、国际间的行业技术协作和技术交流。推荐行业的高新技术产品、名片产品。组织行业技术成果的鉴定和推广应用。
Receive entrust from government or related company,
the association shall expound and prove theadvanced
nature, economical efficiency and feasibility of the
major investment, transformation and development
projects in earlier stage, and shall participate to
hold currently position of project supervising,
organize technical cooperation and technical
exchange in industry domestically and
internationally. The association shall also
recommend high and new-technology products,
famous-brand products, organize appraisal of
industrial technical achievements and spread its
application.
二、会员：Membership
中国齿轮专业协会（CGMA）会员分企业法人会员、合作会员、学术会员、荣誉会员等四类。
The membership of China Gear Manufacturers
Association (CGMA) is divided into 4 kinds: legal
person of the enterprise membership, cooperation
partner membership, academic membership and honor
membership, etc..
1、企业法人会员：Legal person of the enterprises membership
由齿轮、变速器、联轴器产品及相关的齿轮机床、刀具、量仪生产厂，设计与研究单位的法人或指定代表参加，可以被选为会长、常务理事或理事，并可以指派多人参加齿协各委员会工作。
Participated by the legal persons or appointed
representatives of manufacturers for gear, variable
gear box and coupling products and that for related
gear cutting machines, cutting tools, measuring
instruments, etc., as well as related design and
research organizations. Membership in this kind can
be elected as the president, managing director,
director, and more persons in the same membership
unit can be appointed to join the work in different
committee of gear association.
2、合作会员：Cooperation partner membership
国外厂商及港、澳、台地区从事齿轮工业界活动的厂商或个人，可以参加协会为合作会员，以增强信息交流与经贸合作。
Foreign manufacturers and the manufacturers or
persons engaged activities in gear industrial
circles in the region of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan
can participate association as a cooperation partner
membership to strengthen information exchange and
commercial trade cooperation.
3、学术会员：Academia membership
从事齿轮技术工作的工程师、教师、设计研究人员可以以个人身份为学术会员，学术会员可以参加协会各专业技术委员会工作，无权被选入理事会。
Engineers, teachers, design and research personnel
engaged in gear technical activities can participate
as an academic membership in the form of personal
capacity. Academic membership can participate
different kinds of specialized technical committee
to work, but has no right to be elected into board
of directors.
4、荣誉会员：Honor membership
为中国齿轮工业界作过重要贡献的人士，可以由常务理事会选为荣誉会员。
Honor membership shall be elected by board of
directors from the personage, who has made important
contributions to the circles of China gear industry,
